We are searching for an Office Manager for our happy, thriving and ambitious school where staff wellbeing is a priority. Our busy office team plays a key role supporting our school community, from the pupils and their families, to our staff and governors. The role of Office Manager is varied with a diverse set of tasks in a lively environment; no two days are the same. A calm and professional approach to dealing with competing priorities, changing deadlines and staff, children and visitors is essential.

The role is for 24 hours a week for 41 weeks a year (term time and INSETS plus two weeks over the holidays). Hours are flexible over 4 days (other than on Monday where 8am-4:30pm is required).

The successful candidate will:

  • have a good standard of education, including English and Maths GCSE
  • have strong ICT skills with experience of database management
  • have experience of working in a busy office and leading administrative staff, ideally within an educational setting
  • be able to communicate clearly with both adults and children in person, on the telephone and in writing
  • be efficient, able to prioritise tasks and solution-focused
  • be flexible, adaptable and willing to take the initiative
  • have a sense of humour

Burpham Primary School is a school within the Learning Partners Academy Trust for children between the ages of four and eleven with a Specialist KS1 Speech Language and Communication Needs Centre. We aspire to help every child in our care to develop as a whole person, to become confident, happy, independent, creative and adaptable, to love learning and to achieve more than they ever thought possible. We have high expectations and aspirations for all our pupils and we never stop trying to find new ways of promoting learning and making improvements to our school.
