Guildford County School, in partnership with South Farnham Educational Trust, is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Apprentice Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful school. This is an exciting opportunity to train as a teacher while gaining valuable classroom experience, working alongside experienced colleagues and completing your teacher training.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Teacher of Mathematics, you will:

  • Train towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the South Farnham Educational Trust teacher training programme;
  • Work alongside experienced Mathematics teachers to develop your teaching practice;
  • Support and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across different Key Stages;
  • Assist with planning, assessment and feedback to support student progress;
  • Develop effective classroom management and teaching strategies;
  • Participate fully in departmental meetings, training sessions and school life;
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities;
  • Support students' academic, personal and social development as part of the wider school community.

  • Holds, or is on track to achieve, a degree in Mathematics or a related subject at 2:2 or above;
  • Has a genuine passion for Mathematics and education;

  • Is enthusiastic, resilient and keen to learn from experienced colleagues;
