We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs within our vibrant and ambitious primary school.
This role will involve working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to support a pupil with significant additional needs, enabling them to access learning, develop communication and independence skills, and feel safe and included within the school community.
Please note: This role is dependent upon the named pupil remaining on roll at the school, as it is funded through additional SEND funding linked to the pupil’s needs.
As a school, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the requirements of the National Curriculum, with many opportunities to engage with learning in a multi-sensory way. Children are encouraged to participate in the wider life of the school and within the local community. We have a specialist centre attached to the school for children with learning and additional needs. Previous experience working in a specialist environment is an advantage but not a necessity.
