With a focus on delivering both GCSE and Functional Skills, our English tutors empower learners to build confidence and skills and gain qualifications for progression.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inspirational and effective GCSE and Functional Skills English sessions.
- Assess each learner’s starting point and identify their development needs.
- Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences that meet both internal and external expectations.
- Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets and regular review points.
- Complete administrative tasks including learner registers, reviews, and performance documentation.
- Collaborate with vocational colleagues to support learners with retention, achievement, and progression.
- Ensure assessments and documentation meet awarding body and organisational requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, standardisation, and internal moderation activities.
- Promote safe working practices, in line with safeguarding and health and safety legislation.
- Continuously develop your skills through CPD opportunities.
- Deliver CPD based upon your unique skills and experience.
- Create a learning environment that inspires a new perspective for learners and supports their transition to the workplace or further study.
- Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours.
- Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company.

Qualifications
- Qualified English tutor (at least a L3 subject specialism)
- Minimum of 2 years delivery experience
- Hold a PTTLs/AET (or equivalent)
