Learning Curve Group is a growing company that recently acquired MPCT, bringing military academies to a total of 34 across England and Wales. We offer unique training in vocational qualifications and employability skills, helping learners prepare for rewarding careers in the British Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management
    • Take the lead on all centre administration as per the Operational Excellence Framework (OEF).
    • Manage weekly returns: ICT, registers, bursary, programme, asset returns, TAM, staff recruitment, welfare, Facebook, MD memo, quality, FCA System.
  • Teaching & Learning
    • Ensure you and your staff keep subject knowledge up to date and lessons are challenging.
    • Attend annual training events such as Reserve Training Camps, Look at Life, Familiarisation with Acquaint Days, and Assessment Centres.
    • Promote MPCT/Learning Curve Group values in all lessons.
    • Use assessment to inform learners and check learning systematically.
    • Prepare demanding lessons that enable learners to realise their potential.
    • Deliver curriculum covering physical and emotional wellbeing.
    • Ensure resources reflect the diversity of learners’ experience.
    • Identify learners who are falling behind and support them to catch up.
    • Set challenging individual targets for all learners.
    • Support development of Maths and English.
    • Track work‑experience via the FCA system and confirm learners engage with partner employers.
    • Deliver learner induction and interview potential new recruits.
    • Maintain up‑to‑date MPCT MIS entries and track performance, qualifications, attendance, and progress.
    • Complete progress reviews to support learner development.
    • Deliver physical training using the MPCT bib system at appropriate intensity.
    • Deliver Military Training (MTD) following the military skills portfolio scheme.
    • Listen to learner and parent views to improve teaching and learning.
    • Attend regular training on teaching and learning provided by MPCT/Learning Curve Group.
  • Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare
    • Create an environment where learners can discuss and debate respectfully.
    • Celebrate learner achievements to positively impact attitude to learning.
    • Provide support, advice, and guidance to learners, customers, and colleagues.
    • Act in line with company values and expected behaviours.
    • Comply with safeguarding, prevent and health‑and‑safety policies.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Performance Targets – Measure success by six key performance indicators: Engagement 90%, Attendance 90%, Retention 90%, Qualifications 90%, Progressions 90%, and Military Progressions 40%.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within a uniformed service (army, navy, air force) – minimum of 3 years.
  • Military or civilian physical training qualification.
  • Desirable: GCSE Maths & English qualification.
  • Knowledge of vocational qualifications or the education sector.
  • Teaching qualification or experience of teaching or instructing.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Knowledge of Nepalese culture (desired).
