As an 11+ tutor, you will form part of a close-knit team dedicated to closing gaps in prior learning, building advanced skills, and helping us to create fearless learners ready to tackle their grammar school entrance exams.
The 11+ journey can be a stressful time for both children and parents, and as an 11+ Tutor, you will be the mentor who turns that anxiety into confidence and inspires children to become learners for life. You’ll be working with small groups of up to 6 children (primarily in Years 4 and 5) from mixed backgrounds. You’ll be helping them master advanced Key Stage 2 Maths and English, while also demystifying the tricky concepts of Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Your role is to help them work out complex tasks, teach vital exam techniques (such as time management for GL and CEM formats), celebrate when they have a go, and recognise their hard work and effort. It’s crucial that you embody our Vision and Values and become a great ambassador for Learning Cubs - an individual passionate about setting high standards and making sure the Rochdale centre is the very best it can be.
