Hadley Learning Community (HLC) is a £70 million school that opened in September 2006 in Telford, Shropshire, just 5 minutes off Junction 6 of the M54. The campus consists of a primary, secondary and special school housed within a very unique, spectacular all-through school. When you visit, you will instantly feel the ethos of our school but, in summary, we are proud to say that HLC is a truly inclusive school that is proud of its students and the community we serve.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded as ‘Good’ with many outstanding features. The report highlighted the exceptional care, guidance and support provided to all students. The staff and students of HLC take great pride in the superb facilities and work harmoniously together to produce a culture of high expectations, ambition and success.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional PA / Head of Administration to join our forward-thinking secondary phase. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly organised and professional individual to play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and the wider school community.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive executive support to the Principal whilst leading and managing the Central Administration Team. Acting as a trusted professional, they will ensure the smooth operation of administrative systems across the school, manage confidential communications and coordinate a wide range of activities on behalf of senior leaders.

The role includes responsibility for managing the Principal's diary, correspondence and meetings, supporting school improvement activities, preparing reports and documentation, coordinating recruitment processes and overseeing key administration functions. The postholder will also support HR administration, maintain the Single Central Record, coordinate recruitment activities and ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements.

As Head of Administration, you will lead, develop and support administration staff, ensuring efficient systems and high-quality customer service are maintained across the school. You will work closely with students, parents, governors, external agencies and Trust colleagues, acting as a key point of contact and helping to foster positive relationships throughout the school community.

The ideal candidate will have substantial administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion. Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, experience of leading teams and experience within an educational setting would be advantageous.

  • Free use of our Health and Fitness Centre, four-court sports hall and 25-metre indoor swimming pool.
  • Employee Assistance Programme and assist working families through our on‑site nursery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly professional individual to make a significant contribution to the continued success of Hadley Learning Community.
