LDC are looking for a new member of management to join our fabulous team here at LDC HQ Pontefract.
For over 37 years LDC Driving School have been at the top of the driver industry with a national network of driving instructors operating in England, Scotland and Wales. Due to the retirement of a member of management after 29 years of service, we are looking for a new Franchise Support Manager to work alongside two other members of management and the Franchise Support admin team.
LDC is a leading provider of driving lessons and instructor training and we are looking for someone who possesses strong commercial and financial acumen paired with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset to help the company grow and stay competitive within the driver trainer industry.
The main responsibilities of the Franchise Support Manager are:
- Overseeing the driving school finances, including budget and company performance oversight and suggest procedural improvements. Monitor future forecasting, and P&L oversight for the driving school side of the business.
- Produce company reports on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for trainee licence paperwork submitted correctly and on time and assist our franchisees with the process.
- Help with the franchise onboarding process for new franchisees.
- Assist our franchisees with industry related queries.
- Work with the other department managers to ensure productivity and profitability.
- Credit control.
- Ensure systems are in place and functional to increase company sales and franchisee customer retention.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training and development.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry and legal regulations.
- Act as a primary customer advocate while protecting the company’s interests by proactively identifying issues, resolving conflicts through mutually beneficial solutions, and maintaining high levels of satisfaction for our customers.
- Present CPD zoom training sessions for our franchisees.

- Be an industry representative on behalf of the company.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates excellent communication and motivational skills, has an eye for detail, is hands-on and thrives working within a small business.
Experience and Education:
- Previous manager or team leading experience.
- Strong background in company operations and customer service.
- Experience of professional accounting or equivalent.
- Experience of working within the Driving School industry is desired however not essential.

We would be willing to offer this position as a job share on a part-time basis between two candidates as we appreciate that someone from the driver trainer industry may still wish to continue teaching pupils.
