Sustainability Associate Assessor – Remote

Salary: £10 – £30 per hour

Contract type: Part-time, Contract

Location: Remote work

We are seeking a Sustainability Associate Assessor to work within our online learning portal, assessing learners\’ work according to qualification specifications and awarding body requirements. The role involves supporting learners enrolled in our Animal Faculty courses, particularly Canine Massage, and contributing to the quality and effectiveness of course delivery.

Applicants should have relevant qualifications or experience in animal care and/or welfare, hold a UK-recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification, and have at least one year\’s experience in the subject area. Subject specialism qualifications in Sustainability are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mark assessments and learner submissions, providing feedback within 5 working days
  • Support learners by responding to queries within 3 working days
  • Maintain subject knowledge and assist in tracking learner progress
  • Uphold organisational policies including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and GDPR
  • Participate in standardisation meetings and uphold internal quality assurance processes
  • Support assessment team(s) with course requirements and assessment processes
  • Report on monthly IQA reports

This role offers flexible hours based on caseload and availability. The position is remote, self-employed, and involves assessing students online. Pay rates will be discussed during the interview.

Ideal candidates will have extensive teaching, marking, or assessing experience, knowledge of sustainability, and familiarity with quality assurance processes. A relevant teaching or assessment qualification, subject-specific qualifications in animal industry, and evidence of CPD are required.

We value candidates who are organized, independent, and capable of providing constructive feedback. IQA experience or studies are advantageous.
