Sustainability Associate Assessor – Remote

Salary: £10 – £30 per hour

Job Description:

To work within the online learning portal to assess learners\’ work in line with qualification specifications and awarding body requirements to maximise opportunities for learners enrolled onto our Animal Faculty courses, specifically Canine Massage. You will support the Head of Faculty and team to achieve the required quality targets and contribute to the academic and operational effectiveness of delivery. You will play a vital part in our learner journey and success by being responsive to learner queries to ensure their timely progress and achievement. We welcome applicants with relevant qualifications or experience across any of the three subject areas.

You will hold a UK-recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification and have at least a year\’s meaningful experience in working within the subject area of animal care and/or welfare. In addition, you will hold subject specialism qualifications for your chosen subject(s):

  • Sustainability

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Marking assessments and learner assignment submissions, providing feedback within 5 working days
  • Supporting learners by answering queries, e.g., HubSpot tickets within 3 working days
  • Maintaining appropriate subject/expert knowledge
  • Tracking and reporting learner progress
  • Upholding all organisational policies including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, GDPR
  • Participating in standardisation meetings
  • Upholding Internal Quality Assurance processes with awarding bodies
  • Supporting assessors and assessment teams with course requirements
  • Reporting on monthly IQA reports

These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and availability. The role involves tutoring and assessing students remotely via our online portal, on a self-employed basis. Pay rates will be discussed during the interview.

You will manage your workload while maintaining high standards, with direct contact with a Head of Faculty for support.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Significant experience in teaching, marking, or assessing
  • Experience managing QA processes for remote teams (preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of Sustainability courses and industry
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of assessment principles and awarding body requirements
  • RQF Qualification in teaching and assessing
  • Relevant subject qualification in Animal industry
  • Substantial CPD evidence
  • IQA qualification or studying towards it (advantage)
  • Problem-solving skills, reassurance skills for learners
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Constructive feedback skills
