As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for experienced and qualified Online Tutors to support the delivery of our Degree Pathways programmes, which are L4 and L5 extended diplomas. These roles are subject specific, and we are particularly interested in applicants with the following subject specialisms:
- Quantity Surveying Degree Pathway
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide appropriate feedback on student submissions, both formative and summative, in relevant subject discipline(s).
- Actively ensure timely responses to student queries and requests for formative feedback in relevant subject discipline(s).
- Actively ensure timely marking of student submissions in relevant subject discipline(s).
- Provide additional support, as required, to meet individual student needs thus encouraging and promoting the process of student learning.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to students in order to support the completion of their programme of study and progression to Higher or Further Education.
- Participate in course and curriculum monitoring, reviews, and evaluations, as required, to ensure that course content remains fit for purpose, with due recognition of the relevant syllabus and course specifications.
- Assist team members and share best practice as appropriate.
- Actively contribute to standardisation, 121, and team meetings as required.
- Make use of IT to aid the progress of learning through use of company systems.
- Be prepared to work flexibly, including during unsociable hours, as required.
- Undertake a minimum of 30 hours CPD per annum. Ensure that subject area knowledge is current.
- Actively uphold all College Policies and Procedures, for example, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Conflict of Interest.
Tutors must hold a first degree in their relevant subject specialism as a minimum and a full recognised teaching qualification. Successful candidates should have experience of tutoring at higher education level as the programmes are to support students to progress to a final year degree course at their chosen university. Experience of tutoring adult learners would be an advantage.
These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised qualification and have experience of online learning.
We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves writing course content for our Degree Pathway faculty, in the subject specialism of Quantity Surveying. Rates of pay vary depending on the course and level.
You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
