As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for experienced and qualified Online Tutors to support the delivery of our Access to HE Diplomas. These roles are subject specific, and we are particularly interested in applicants with the following subject specialisms:
- English and Study Skills
- Art & Design
- Health & Social Care
- Psychology
- Biology
- Sports Science
These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised teaching or assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners. We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal. Rates of pay vary depending on the course and level.
You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
What we are looking for in you (Essential):
- Tutors must hold a first degree in their relevant subject specialism as a minimum and a full recognised teaching qualification
- Have strong experience in tutoring Access to Higher Education diplomas or BTEC level 3
- Experience with tutoring adult learners would be an advantage
- Have an excellent level of written English
- Experience and qualified in assessing/Teaching
- Have the ability to problem solve using own initiative
- Be able to research supportive answers to student questions
- Be able to provide high quality assessment decision
- Be digitally skilled in Microsoft Office, email and other commonly used platforms
- Be proactive and self-motivated
- Be able to work as a part of a wider team
- Have excellent written communication skills
- Be able to work within existing processes and procedures
- Live in the UK
