We are currently seeking a Tutor to join us to work upon an EOTAS provision. If you are a SEND‑experienced, compassionate educator with expertise in STEM, humanities, or social sciences, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, one-to-one tuition sessions during standard school hours (09:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday only)
- Design and deliver personalised lessons in core subjects, particularly STEM, humanities, or social sciences
- Implement therapeutic and innovative approaches aligned with neurodivergent learning preferences
- Collaborate closely with therapists, parents, carers, and case workers as part of a holistic support network
- Monitor and report on academic and emotional progress through clear written and verbal communication
- Offer a reliable, empathetic presence that supports both educational and emotional development
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience at KS3/4 level
- Solid understanding of neurodivergent learners, with experience in low-demand or trauma-informed approaches
- Background in alternative education settings, such as EOTAS, PRUs, or specialist provision
- Skilled at aligning lessons with EHCP outcomes and adapting methods to meet individual needs
Essential Criteria
- You must hold a degree (BA/BSc) within one of the following subjects: STEM, Humanities, or Social Sciences
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- You must have a student‑led approach to education, with the ability to adapt to the student's needs
- You must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the DBS Update Service
- At a minimum, you must hold a Level 1 (or higher) Safeguarding certificate (Qualification may be gained as part of the onboarding process, if successful)
