Company Overview
Position overview:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, our future Operations & Launch Manager will be responsible for leading the Operations team in the launch of new programs and projects and managing the existing business in line with the business KPIs.
You will be in charge of leading the Operations & Launch Product Coach team to understand and deliver the Programme or Project requirements from the design concept to installation and product launch. You will work closely with the Programme Management and Design Engineering teams to understand the requirements for the Plant Operations team and manage the launch through all the gateway phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Program / Project milestones are achieved.
- Define Plant Operations requirements from the scope of the Program or Project to deliver a robust process.
- Define & manage CAPEX & Start-Up costs throughout the project.
- Plan & execute Pre-Production builds, including ordering new parts and BOM validation.
- Ensure Lear Pro manufacturing deliverables are submitted on schedule.
- Review project progress with the Customer & Senior internal team.
- Report launch status at all Program gateway reviews.
- Work with the launch team to specify and install all new equipment to ensure a robust process.
- Develop training plans and events for new processes.
- Manage multiple Programs & Projects.
- Generate timing plans for all launch phases.
- Ensure all Product changes are costed.
- Meet all day-to-day KPIs in Operations & lead Manufacturing Managers to deliver their daily tasks.
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading Cross-Functional teams.
- Comfortable presenting to Customers and Senior Management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Qualifications: Preferred: Automotive 1st Tier Operational Management experience, Project Management experience, Proficiency in Lear systems, Degree level education, Project Management Qualification.
