Position: Industrial Engineer
Location: Sunderland JIT
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports To: Engineering Manager

Purpose: Support the Industrial Engineering team in ensuring compliance with technical, customer, and corporate requirements while improving plant efficiency, productivity, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Support AME I4.0 projects, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and implement engineering processes in compliance with IATF standards.
  • Assist with operational problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Project management skills.

Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, detail-focused, customer-driven, and innovative.
