Position: Permanent
Location: Sunderland
Reports To: Site Operations Manager
Team: Facility & Production Maintenance team (~8 members)
Working Conditions: Day Shift

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Maintenance team, ensuring proactive and reactive support for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Manage plant maintenance budgets and deliver annual KPI/process improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Fire standards.
- Drive operational effectiveness (zero downtime, improved MTBF, reduced total hours lost).
- Support Apprenticeship Program, training, succession planning, and diversity initiatives.
- Implement best practice policies, procedures, and continuous improvement (TIC, IDEA, TWW).
- Deliver projects within CAPEX budget.
- Support product/program launches with zero disruption and on budget.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance/engineering function.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement methods.
- Ability to manage budgets, projects, and drive operational excellence.
- Good understanding of HSE standards and compliance.
- Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
- Experience with innovation, modern manufacturing principles, and process improvement.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Chemical industry experience is a plus.
