Position: Industrial Engineer
Location: Sunderland JIT
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Purpose: Support the Industrial Engineering team in ensuring compliance with technical, customer, and corporate requirements while improving plant efficiency, productivity, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize systems and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Support AME I4.0 projects, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and implement engineering processes in compliance with IATF standards.
- Assist with operational problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
Preferred
- Automotive industry experience.
- Project management skills.
