Position overview:

A great role has opened up in our Coventry Tech Center as HR Advisor. Reporting directly to the HR Manager , you will be in charge of supporting the team in all day to day HR topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full onboarding process for all Tech Centre and Eagle Ottawa new starters, including arranging their first day inductions and working closely with IT and Department Managers.
  • Gain an understanding of the Visa requirements for working in the United Kingdom ensuring all job offers are aligned and new starters are compliant.
  • Support the Senior HR Manager and HR Advisor in the creation of HR Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage and update HR trackers with accurate information for example, Probation Review Tracker, Absence Tracker, Payroll Tracker.
  • Work closely with the HR Global Business Solutions team to ensure employee data changes are actioned correctly.
  • Main point of contact for agencies in relation to Temporary Worker recruitment whilst also providing process guidance to the Hiring Managers.
  • Raise HR related PO’s in a timely manner to ensure compliance with SOX, such as PO’s required for training.
  • Maintain the internal HR system, Success Factors, ensuring that the data recorded is 100% accurate.
  • Support the HR Advisor in managing the full termination process by processing leavers in a timely manner with payroll as well as conducting thorough exit interviews.
  • Working closely with the Senior HR Manager and HR Advisor to review existing processes and make improvements where necessary.
  • Support Employees and the Management team with general HR queries.
  • Support Managers with Employee Relations matters such as Flexible Working Requests, Investigations, Grievances and Disciplinaries.
  • Ownership for Training and Development process, working with Managers to highlight training requirements and arranging training.
  • Support with internal audits to ensure compliance.
  • Gain an understanding of Corporate requirements and compliance.
  • Ad-hoc projects for improvements .
  • Support with visa applications working closely with Recruitment, Global Mobility and Managers.
  • Working closely with Managers to monitor absence and manage occupational health referrals.
  • Assist with rolling out corporate training initiatives.
  • Running reports from the internal HR system, Success Factors, to provide essential data such as Gender data reporting, Salary reports, Headcount data for KPIs.

Key skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a generalist in a fast paced and high-volume Manufacturing or logistics business with high volume employee relations is essential
  • Experience of using HR Systems, ideally SuccessFactors, Peoplesoft and Kronos, as well as Time & Attendance systems.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications
  • Use of HRIS systems
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • Positive “can do” attitude and ability to lead by example
