How to prepare for a job interview at Lear Corporation

✨Know Your Numbers

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you'll be dealing with a lot of financial data. Brush up on your knowledge of key financial metrics like cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. Be ready to discuss how you've used these in past roles and how you can apply them to support the Redditch plant.

✨Master Excel and Financial Software

Since strong IT skills, especially in Excel, are crucial for this role, make sure you're comfortable with advanced Excel functions and any relevant financial software. If you have experience with BPCS or IBM iSeries, highlight that during your interview. Consider preparing a quick demo or example of how you've used these tools effectively.

✨Showcase Your Team Leadership Skills

You'll be managing three direct reports, so it's important to demonstrate your leadership abilities. Prepare examples of how you've developed team members in the past, tackled conflicts, or improved team performance. This will show that you're not just a numbers person but also a great team player.

✨Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions that assess your problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure.
