Role overview: The Assistant Engineering Controller will own a Tech Centre entity, manage month-end financial closures, and handle forecasting and reporting. You will work alongside the Engineering Controller to support the UK Tech Centre, including control of Engineering & Tooling Budgets. You will provide crucial information to Engineering Managers, Program Managers, and Finance teams. Main Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts as part of the UK Finance team. Accurately submit local accounts within deadlines using Corporate Systems like HFM / Hyperion. Manage Engineering Budgets by reporting monthly results, preparing forecasts, and working with the Engineering Director for reviews. Oversee Tooling budgets, track monthly tooling, conduct reviews with Program Managers, and report profitability status. Produce Engineering Program Status reports with historic and forecast data to assess project profitability. Perform monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations. Prepare Corporate Schedules for quarterly attestations to Divisional Finance. Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley self-audit procedures. Perform other ad-hoc duties as required. Key skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferable. Experience in a financial accounting environment. Excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
