We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team within our Seating division (Complete seat JIT). You will be based at our world class UK Headquarters in Coventry looking after seating projects for a prestigious OEM.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for commercial ownership of complete seat programs.
- Negotiate series projects and contracts with customer from Buyer to Senior Management level.
- Customer relationship management – OEM Buyer / Purchase Manager / Lead Engineers / Module Leaders / Piece Cost Engineers / Vendor Tooling Cost Engineers.
- Manage negotiation and closure of commercial issues with timely conclusion.
- Manage sales account with P&L responsibility, cost and pricing management and profitability ownership from project inception through to SOP.
- Deliver program(s) with committed financial metrics.
- Deliver engineering change quotations in line with agreed customer timeline.
- Maintain internal reporting.
- Support business case approvals.
- Report out program commercial status to senior level.
- Follow up on aging debt / drive cash-in collection in line with forecast dates.
- Experienced automotive tier 1 Account Manager – ideally with a background in complex, high value commodities.
- Highly developed commercial acumen, be a motivated self-starter and willingness to take the lead.
- Experience in tracking price changes, maintaining accurate records of changes including margin impacts.
- High level communication and organizational skills.
