Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Completing day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks including posting journals and maintaining ledgers.
- Supporting bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Assisting with payment processing and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Supporting month‑end and quarter‑end reporting activities.
- Maintaining accurate finance and client data within internal systems.
- Responding to internal finance‑related queries and supporting service delivery.
- Assisting with audit requests and compliance‑related documentation.
- Supporting process improvements and updating procedural documentation where required.
- Assisting with Client Due Diligence (CDD) administration and record maintenance.
- Participating in finance projects, system testing and operational improvement initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a school leaver or early‑career candidate with strong numeracy and literacy skills, along with excellent attention to detail and organisational ability. They will demonstrate confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and be comfortable learning new systems quickly. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to manage workload effectively are essential, alongside strong communication skills and a professional approach. Evidence of responsibility through education, work experience, volunteering or extracurricular activities would be advantageous. The successful individual will be reliable, adaptable and committed to delivering high‑quality work accurately and efficiently.
