The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This position offers the opportunity to shape ESG strategy, strengthen governance frameworks, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes. It is well suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a regulated environment.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and progress Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across the business.
  • Develop and support stakeholder engagement strategies relating to sustainability and governance.
  • Monitor emerging ESG reporting standards and support ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Drive delivery of the organisation's sustainability mission, including post-programme planning.
  • Support development and monitoring of Scope 3 emissions plans, including supplier engagement and reporting.
  • Track logistics-related emissions data and contribute to sustainability performance reporting.
  • Collate sustainability data across business units for group and external reporting purposes.
  • Maintain sustainability resources and reporting tools, including internal SharePoint content.
  • Support governance activity, including supplier compliance with codes of conduct and human and labour rights policies.
  • Review and update governance policies and procedures.
  • Support business continuity planning, testing, and internal controls reviews.
  • Assist with risk assessments, internal control scorecards, and ad hoc governance reviews.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a sustainability, governance, or risk-related role, along with a strong interest in sustainable business practices. Excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and confidence working collaboratively across departments are essential. Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently to deadlines are key, with experience in a commercial or regulated environment viewed as advantageous.
