Working as part of a specialist Risk Assurance Services team, you'll help organisations understand whether their systems, controls and technology environments are operating effectively while developing valuable expertise within a growing area of professional services.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting external financial statement audit engagements as a Digital Audit specialist.
- Assessing IT General Controls, application controls and automated controls.
- Performing client walkthroughs and gaining an understanding of IT environments and systems.
- Delivering controls assurance and technology risk engagements.
- Testing key reports, interfaces and system dependencies.
- Supporting project management activities to ensure engagements are delivered on time and within budget.
- Building relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Providing insights into control effectiveness, process efficiency and risk management.
- Coaching and developing junior team members.
- Supporting the use of digital audit tools and emerging technologies.
- Contributing to wider strategic initiatives across the Risk Assurance Services team.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Business Studies or a related discipline and possess previous experience within digital audit, IT audit, controls assurance or risk assurance, ideally gained within a Big 4 or similar professional services environment. Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, together with experience assessing IT controls and risk frameworks. Professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA, ITIL, COBIT or similar would be advantageous, although support towards further qualifications will be provided. Candidates with experience supporting financial services clients, external audit teams or technology risk engagements will be particularly attractive.
