Our client is launching a trainee programme that blends real-world regulatory work with supported academic study over 4 years. This is a long-term development opportunity for school leavers who want more than a traditional graduate route and are keen to build a meaningful career locally!
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Work in a paid, full-time trainee role while studying towards a BSc in Applied Finance.
- Complete structured placements across two divisions to gain broad exposure to regulatory work.
- Support regulatory activities including research, report writing, data gathering, and project support.
- Assist with on-site visits and inspections alongside experienced colleagues.
- Contribute to team meetings and development activities.
- Engage fully with training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Build knowledge of financial regulation, supervision, and regulatory standards.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a school leaver with A Levels (or equivalent) achieving at least BBB, including a minimum Grade B (4-6) in GCSE English and Mathematics. You will be motivated, curious, and keen to develop professional skills in a structured dimension. This programme suits someone who is adaptable, engaged with global financial issues, and committed to building a long-term career within financial regulation, progressing to an Analyst role on successful completion.
