An exciting step for an experienced telecoms professional, this Roaming Manager position places commercial negotiation, strategy, and innovation at its core. The role sits within a specialist IoT and Wholesale VAS function and carries real influence across roaming partnerships and platforms.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management of roaming and eSIM profile agreements to ensure optimal global coverage.
- Establish, renegotiate, and manage Inter-Operator Tariff (IOT) and discount agreements, ensuring commercial terms are accurately implemented.
- Manage suppliers of roaming platforms and services, including procurement, commercial negotiations, and re-contracting activities.
- Develop and recommend strategies to strengthen the group's wholesale roaming position in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Produce monthly and annual financial accruals and develop annual roaming cost budgets.
- Represent the business at industry forums, including GSMA WAS meetings, where appropriate.
- Advise senior stakeholders on trends in roaming markets, IoT mobility, eSIM technologies, and regulatory developments.
- Coordinate IREG testing activities for new networks, platforms, and technologies alongside internal technical teams.
- Support resolution of roaming-related issues impacting IoT and wholesale partners.
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications licences, regulatory obligations, data protection legislation, and internal governance standards.
The ideal candidate will have several years' experience within telecommunications, ideally with a strong background in roaming, IoT connectivity, or wholesale services. Commercial negotiation expertise, solid financial acumen, and a strong understanding of roaming technologies and GSMA standards are essential. The role suits someone who is analytical, commercially confident, and comfortable operating across technical, operational, and senior stakeholder environments.
