An excellent part-time opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to balance work with other commitments! The role supports HR, payroll and employment administration within a busy yacht services environment, offering variety, responsibility and flexibility.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Processing monthly crew payrolls, including verification of payroll data and reconciliation of wages.
- Monitoring cash balances and supporting the preparation of invoices to request funds from yacht owners.
- Arranging crew wage payments and ensuring payment schedules are accurately implemented.
- Producing and processing crew employment agreements and associated documentation.
- Acting as a first point of contact for crew, captains, and owners regarding employment and payroll queries.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential crew records within internal systems and document management platforms.
- Liaising with external authorities, including flag administrations, social security bodies, and trade unions where required.
- Ensuring payroll year-end processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Keeping up to date with seafarer employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting continuous improvement of internal procedures and assisting with ad hoc projects as required.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll, HR administration, or a related operational support role, ideally within a regulated or marine environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with systems and data are essential, alongside the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive approach, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to success in this role.
