At the centre of Guernsey's captive insurance market, this role offers the chance to lead complex insurance programmes for international clients while shaping long-term risk financing strategies. A great opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who enjoys working closely with boards, regulators and insurers to deliver robust, well-governed captive programmes!
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing insurance servicing and renewals for a portfolio of captive clients.
- Reviewing insurance matters for board and committee papers and presenting where required.
- Drafting and reviewing insurance documentation and contract wordings.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, brokers and regulators.
- Reviewing and enhancing insurance programmes in line with market developments.
- Supporting finance colleagues with insurance and claims information.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Contributing to wider projects and team initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be ACII qualified (or close to qualification) with strong general insurance experience and exposure to captive insurance. They will be client-focused, commercially aware and confident dealing with senior stakeholders. Experience supervising or mentoring others is desirable, along with the ability to translate strategy into effective operational delivery.
