Bring your Financial Controller experience to a 6-9 month temporary role with a broad and varied remit.
You\'ll oversee annual accounts, management reporting, budgets, controls and audit activity while managing a small finance team at Assistant Director level.
The role would particularly suit an experienced contractor available at relatively short notice.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance function.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
- Produce monthly management accounts and senior management reporting.
- Prepare draft annual financial statements and year-end audit information.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Support the completion of financial statements for the Annual Report.
- Prepare and monitor annual and ad-hoc budgets.
- Manage cashflow, banking and relevant financial controls.
- Review payroll reports and oversee salary payments.
- Maintain accurate General Ledger, capital expenditure and fixed asset information.
- Provide financial analysis and support to senior leadership.
- Ensure finance policies, procedures and internal controls are followed.
- Manage and support a small finance team.
- Maintain high-quality financial delivery throughout the temporary assignment.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with substantial financial and management accounting experience, including previous responsibility for annual reports and accounts.
You\'ll be comfortable operating at Financial Controller/Assistant Director level, taking ownership of a broad finance remit while managing a small team and working directly with senior stakeholders.
Strong experience of year-end reporting, budgeting, audit and financial controls is essential, together with the ability to quickly understand existing systems and processes and provide continuity from the outset.
As this is a 6-9 month temporary assignment, you\'ll need to be available to start before December, with sufficient time to complete a handover.
