The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 £ per year.

This 9-12 month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to lead core financial control activities during a period of ongoing transformation and delivery focus. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you'll help ensure the integrity of financial reporting while supporting process improvements and strengthening controls across the business.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading month-end and year-end close processes and ensuring timely financial reporting.
  • Preparing and coordinating statutory financial statements and external audits.
  • Maintaining strong balance sheet governance and reconciliation controls.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and financial compliance obligations.
  • Maintaining and enhancing financial control frameworks and governance processes.
  • Providing oversight across finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Supporting treasury activities, cash management and covenant monitoring.
  • Producing management reporting, financial analysis and commentary.
  • Acting as a key contact for financial control matters across the business.
  • Supporting finance transformation, process improvements and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Leading, coaching and developing members of the Financial Control team.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across reporting, controls and operational processes.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification and possess strong experience within financial control, financial reporting or a similar finance leadership role. They will demonstrate excellent technical accounting knowledge, experience managing audits and strong understanding of financial governance and controls. Previous people management or supervisory experience is essential, alongside strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working within regulated, professional services or controlled environments would be advantageous, as would exposure to finance transformation or systems change initiatives. The successful individual will be proactive, commercially aware and capable of delivering high-quality outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
