An excellent opportunity is available for a senior insurance professional to lead a respected captive insurance operation. You'll oversee business performance, support organisational change and develop a high-performing team while ensuring clients continue to receive exceptional service and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring high-quality client service and operational excellence.
  • Implement business strategy and translate organisational objectives into effective operational plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators and key market stakeholders.
  • Oversee client service delivery and personally manage relationships for key accounts where required.
  • Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, efficiency and service quality.
  • Lead recruitment, performance management, mentoring and professional development across the office.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies and governance standards.
  • Identify, monitor and manage operational and business risks, supporting appropriate remediation where required.
  • Support business development initiatives, renewals and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Lead and support organisational change and transformation initiatives.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have significant experience within captive insurance, insurance management, brokerage or a related risk environment, together with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams within a regulated financial services business. You'll possess strong technical knowledge of captive insurance and relevant regulatory frameworks, alongside excellent leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills. A commercially minded and collaborative leader, you'll be confident building relationships with clients, regulators and colleagues while driving operational excellence, developing talent and delivering outstanding client outcomes.
