Full-Time No working from home possible

This is a varied technical role for someone who enjoys getting to the root of problems and turning analysis into effective solutions. You'll investigate system issues, support testing and use data to develop practical tools while working closely with both technical and non-technical colleagues. It's an excellent opportunity to develop towards systems development, R&D or systems support leadership.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyse data and system issues to identify root causes, trends and practical solutions.
  • Build tools and models using Excel, SQL, R, Python or similar technologies.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues alongside users and technical teams.
  • Interrogate databases using SQL and reporting tools.
  • Support the testing of system enhancements through to implementation.
  • Document technical findings, testing and resolutions clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate technical information to stakeholders in clear, non-technical language.
  • Support wider systems development, project and research activities.
  • Maintain structured, well-documented and thoroughly tested working practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and technical solutions.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a bright and analytical problem-solver with strong numerical and logical reasoning skills and the ability to approach unfamiliar challenges from first principles. Applications are welcomed from experienced analysts as well as graduates or early-career candidates, and previous financial services or systems experience isn't essential. Exposure to Excel, SQL, R or Python would be useful, but the ability to learn new technical skills quickly is more important. You'll have a strong academic background in a numerate, technical or analytical discipline, or equivalent demonstrable ability, alongside excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail. You'll also be comfortable taking ownership of your work and explaining technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
