Our client is seeking a Compliance Policy & Regulatory Engagement Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping compliance strategy, regulatory engagement and policy development!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development, maintenance and implementation of the firm's compliance framework, including AML, CFT, CPF and sanctions.
- Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory engagement with local authorities.
- Preparing, reviewing and submitting regulatory reports and communications in line with guidance and deadlines.
- Coordinating and managing regulatory visits, inspections and consultations.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring policies and procedures remain current and compliant.
- Drafting, reviewing and enhancing compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks.
- Overseeing compliance analytics, data quality and management information reporting.
- Supporting the preparation, review and presentation of risk assessments and compliance reports to senior committees.
- Leading and coaching compliance team members, managing workload and quality standards.
- Providing advisory guidance to the wider business on compliance, regulatory and financial crime matters.
- Supporting compliance-related projects, remediation initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong experience within compliance, risk or regulatory functions, with a thorough understanding of relevant Channel Islands laws and regulatory expectations. They will be confident engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders, capable of drafting high-quality policies and reports, and able to apply a commercial mindset to compliance solutions. A relevant professional qualification is required, alongside strong leadership, analytical and communication skills. Experience in financial crime, regulatory reporting or acting as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO would be advantageous.
