Our client is seeking an Onboarding Manager or Assistant Manager to oversee client onboarding processes. This role focuses on delivering efficient, compliant and high-quality onboarding across a dynamic environment.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle from initial engagement to completion.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for onboarding queries from clients, intermediaries and internal teams.
  • Reviewing and approving new client onboarding applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reviewing and approving client transactions and updates to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensuring all onboarding documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal AML/CDD standards.
  • Liaising with Compliance, Risk and Operations teams to support efficient onboarding processes.
  • Monitoring onboarding pipelines and reporting progress to senior management.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
  • Supporting audits, regulatory requests and periodic onboarding reviews.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members where applicable.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in client onboarding, AML/CDD or compliance within the funds or financial services sector, along with a strong understanding of Guernsey regulatory requirements. They will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Candidates at Manager level will have experience supervising or mentoring team members, and a relevant qualification such as ICA or ACAMS would be advantageous.
