This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with financial services experience to build specialist knowledge within AML and KYC operations. Supporting trigger event reviews, periodic assessments and fraud prevention activities, you'll play an important role in protecting both customers and the wider business.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting AML and KYC reviews for corporate, trustee and individual customer accounts.
  • Performing risk-based quality checks across onboarding, trigger events and scheduled reviews.
  • Reviewing customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, source of wealth and source of funds documentation.
  • Liaising with customers and Independent Financial Advisers to obtain and verify supporting documentation.
  • Performing customer security and video verification calls as part of fraud prevention controls.
  • Reviewing complex corporate ownership structures and identifying potential financial crime risks.
  • Carrying out transaction monitoring and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Completing customer risk assessments and supporting compliance testing activities.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and updating internal systems.
  • Supporting operational reporting and management information requirements.
  • Participating in projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with Compliance and Operations teams to ensure regulatory standards are maintained.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's experience within financial services and possess a good understanding of AML, KYC and customer due diligence requirements. Previous experience reviewing client documentation, conducting risk assessments or supporting compliance activities would be advantageous. They will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy. Strong communication skills are essential, together with a customer-focused approach and the confidence to liaise professionally with customers, advisers and colleagues. The successful candidate will be proactive, inquisitive and keen to develop their expertise within financial crime prevention and regulatory compliance.
