Our client is seeking a capable and proactive Assistant Compliance Manager to support regulatory, AML, and compliance obligations. The role offers variety, responsibility, and strong exposure within a professional compliance environment!
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide compliance guidance and support across the business.
- Review and sign off on client onboarding, CDD, trigger events, and acceptance processes.
- Perform client risk assessments and enhanced due diligence.
- Monitor and support the ongoing Compliance Programme.
- Conduct sanctions screening and investigations as required.
- Assist with regulatory and internal audits, including clearing findings and exceptions.
- Support regulatory filings and compliance reporting obligations.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure databases are kept up to date.
- Monitor regulatory developments and identify emerging risks and required actions.
- Support compliance training and promote a strong compliance culture.
- Assist with compliance projects and attend meetings as required.
- In the capacity of Nominated Officer, receive and assess internal SARs in the absence of the MLRO.
- Maintain SAR logs, acknowledgements, investigations, and reporting documentation.
- Support the MLRO function as required.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical compliance knowledge and experience within a fiduciary, funds, or private wealth environment. A structured, confident, and discreet approach is essential, along with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and support others. Holding, or willingness to undertake, an ICA qualification is highly desirable.
