Our client is seeking motivated and numerate graduates to join their actuarial team in Guernsey. The role offers structured training, full exam support, and exposure to real actuarial work from day one!

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as part of an actuarial team within insurance, investment, or pensions practice areas.
  • Assist with data preparation and calculations for actuarial valuations.
  • Support projects relating to risk management, pricing, and financial modelling.
  • Draft reports and presentations to communicate actuarial results to clients.
  • Collaborate with other actuarial trainees and experienced actuaries.
  • Develop advanced Excel skills and work with specialist actuarial software systems.
  • Undertake actuarial examinations with full study support provided by the business.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background and a genuine interest in actuarial work, modelling, and problem solving. A degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, or a science‑based subject is desirable but not essential, along with good Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior staff are key, alongside motivation to progress through actuarial exams.
