Strong administrative support makes a real difference in a busy legal team, and this role offers the chance to take ownership across a broad range of responsibilities. You'll support fee earners with matter management, billing, diaries and documentation while also getting involved in events and business development. Previous law firm experience would be particularly welcomed.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to fee earners within the Corporate team.
- Prepare and format correspondence, agreements and other legal documentation.
- Maintain team CPD records and assist with document and bundle preparation.
- Manage calls, messages, scanning, copying and filing requirements.
- Complete file opening and closing formalities and administer conflict checks.
- Support monthly and annual billing, WIP and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare reports and undertake relevant matter administration.
- Arrange company searches and support court and notarial administration.
- Manage diaries, meetings and conference calls.
- Attend team meetings, take minutes and maintain action lists.
- Assist with client and colleague events from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate business development travel, schedules and supporting materials.
- Maintain business development trackers and client relationship records.
- Support knowledge management and wider team administration.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment, together with excellent organisation, planning and document management skills. You'll be confident supporting a busy commercial team and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, with an adaptable approach and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are important, alongside experience taking minutes and managing meetings, while previous exposure to event management, marketing or business development support would be particularly advantageous. You'll also be articulate, systems-confident and comfortable taking clear instructions while using your initiative to keep work progressing.
