The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Leap29 are partnered with an established UK developer that are in search of an experienced Grid Engineer. The projects will be utility-scale ground-mount solar and battery storage across the UK. Our client develops, owns, and operates the assets and have all functions in-house, including, development, finance, engineering, and legal.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Attend industry and engagement conferences and events to maintain relationships with DNOs/IDNOs/TNO/ICPs, and other relevant technology partners the business works with
  • Monitor and report on grid connection progress and performance.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting grid connection applications (G99 and managing the approval process
  • Support in liaising with grid operators, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with grid connection requirements and regulations.
  • Running electrical power system studies using PSS/E, DigSilent PowerFactory or similar power system software is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience of working in a similar role is essential.

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably electrical engineering, but other disciplines accepted.
  • Experience working on renewable energy projects (ideally solar, wind and BESS)
  • Good understanding of P28, G59/G99, and similar ENA recommendations.
  • Detailed knowledge of CDM, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, site safety rules, DNO requirements, switching procedures;
  • Comfortable initiating contact and building relationships with the DNOs, TNOs, ICPs, and other 3rd party advisors.
  • You have a valid UK driving license
