If you’re a social media strategist who thrives on turning insights into scroll-stopping ideas — and you’re just as comfortable building multi-channel plans as you are analysing results — this is the role for you. You’ll lead high-impact, integrated strategies for a standout client roster, with the creative freedom to test, learn, and innovate. It’s your chance to step into a senior role with real influence, where strategy comes first and delivery is supported by a talented comms team.

About the role

You’ll be the go-to expert on all things social - across both paid and organic - developing insight-led strategies that drive visibility, engagement, and performance. You’ll lead client audits, set clear KPIs and measurement frameworks, and create channel strategies rooted in customer behaviour. Across LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok and YouTube, you’ll also bring knowledge of influencer marketing, and a working understanding of SEO. Day-to-day content creation is handled by the comms team, so your focus is firmly on client growth, strategic development, and innovation. You’ll also oversee the agency’s own social channels, keeping them fresh, relevant and aligned with their ambitious brand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and develop organic and paid social strategies across key platforms
  • Lead social audits, set objectives and build integrated channel strategies
  • Define KPIs, track performance, and use data to inform ongoing optimisation
  • Collaborate with the wider team to embed influencer activity into social plans
  • Present strategies, costings and performance updates to clients
  • Oversee the agency’s own social content and positioning
  • Act as a strategic lead and mentor to junior team members
  • Stay ahead of platform trends and help evolve the agency’s social offering
  • Contribute to wider integrated campaigns across social, PR and SEO

What you’ll need

  • Senior-level experience in social strategy, ideally from an agency environment
  • Deep expertise across paid and organic social – especially TikTok, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing and how to incorporate it effectively
  • Confident with data, KPIs and using analytics to drive decision-making
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and how they complement social efforts
  • An audience-first mindset – skilled at profiling, segmentation and customer journeys
