Leap Architects are looking for a full time Senior Architectural Technologist with 7 – 10 years of experience to join our growing studio working across a broad range of commercial, church and residential projects. We’re a creative and collaborative studio, passionate about transforming lives through the spaces we create and we’re looking for a brilliant architectural technologist to play a pivotal role in bringing these schemes to life.
Location: Our studio is located in the lovely town of Thame, Oxfordshire.
The role: You’ll work closely with our project leads, architects and collaborate with our clients, contractors and other consultants to bring projects to life by producing exceptional drawings, specifications, and documentation with a particular focus on RIBA workstages 4, 5 & 6 but will bring vital input across early stages of projects too.
- Production of RIBA workstage 4 & 5 documentation in Revit for tender and construction purposes across commercial, church and residential projects.
- Providing technical input at early project workstages to ensure a seamless project journey.
- Production of comprehensive CDM packages to ensure safe and compliant building sites and buildings.
- Liaising with contractors across RIBA workstage 5 and handling contractor queries throughout the construction period.
- Taking a lead on technical package standards across the practice, reviewing outputs and introducing best practice workflows.
- Building confidence and capability in junior staff members and sharing knowledge across the team.
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships through RIBA workstages 4 & 5.
- Production of NBS specifications.
Requirements & Experience:
- 7 – 10 years post qualification experience as an architectural technologist working across multiple sectors.
- MCIAT accreditation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a practical approach.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit.
- Experience with NBS for specification writing.
- Previous experience in team leadership and mentorship & a strong desire to help others improve.
- An obsession with clarity, accuracy, and beautiful simplicity.
- Thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
