We are looking to appoint an Assistant Head of Year to join our experienced team at Babington Academy.
Babington Academy is a highly inclusive 11-16 comprehensive academy with an excellent reputation locally and regionally for its high standards and work to ensure that students of all abilities, including those with a wide range of special educational needs, reach their full potential. All our children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are fully included in mainstream lessons, including students who are part of our designated specialist provision for children with speech language and communication difficulties, including autism.
The successful candidate will:
- provide pastoral care and education support across our academy.
- monitor the welfare, behaviour and attendance of students working closely with Heads of Year and form tutors to ensure that we make a profound positive difference to all students.
- support faculty leaders and class teachers in the management of student behaviour to ensure all students adhere to our high expectations at all times.
- support students to build positive relationships with their peers during social time.
- liaise with parents and students to ensure all understand, and support, the ethos of the academy.
