The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new accreditation revenue for the Lean Competency System (LCS). This role is primarily focused on identifying, engaging and converting organisations that deliver continuous improvement (CI), Lean, Operational Excellence or transformation training internally or externally and supporting them to understand the commercial, credibility and community value of LCS accreditation and membership. In addition to organisational accreditation, the role will identify and develop opportunities for individual memberships, individual certification, and relevant cross-group opportunities across the Reinvigoration Group to support wider growth goals. This is a hands-on, consultative new business role, owning the front end of the sales process through to accreditation initiation, and playing a critical part in scaling LCS’s global footprint.
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Identify, prospect and engage organisations delivering CI, Six Sigma, Lean Agile, Lean, OpEx or transformation training to their internal team or commercially.
- Own the new accreditation sales cycle from initial outreach through to accreditation decision and handover to LCS SMEs.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new accreditation opportunities using outbound activity and nurturing inbound leads.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand organisational training models, client base and growth ambitions to provide personalised solutions.
- Clearly articulate the value of LCS accreditation, including global credibility, scalability, differentiation and community access.
- Guide organisations through accreditation options, pricing models and next steps.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior leaders in CI, L&D, OpEx and transformation.
- Support early-stage accredited organisations to ensure a strong onboarding experience and long-term retention.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and manage follow-up, forecasting and reporting.
- Generate leads through event attendance, exhibition stands and targeted networking.
- Support the development of referral, reseller and partnership opportunities where aligned to accreditation growth.
- Confidently speak about LCS accreditation, CI capability-building and professional standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs, Community, and wider teams to align messaging and conversion.
- Support the improvement of sales processes, CRM workflows and commercial collateral.
- Operate with high autonomy, ownership and a growth mindset in a scale-up environment.
This role will be a great fit if you have:
- Strong B2B new business sales experience (mid-market or enterprise), ideally in a consultative or services-led environment.
- Proven track record of winning new business and delivering against revenue targets.
- Confidence engaging senior and executive stakeholders.
- Experience selling complex or intangible value propositions (e.g. accreditation, membership, professional services).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills across calls, presentations and written content.
- Comfortable building pipeline from scratch and working autonomously.
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Confident representing an organisation at events and in external forums.
We’d love to hear from you if you also have:
- Experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, L&D, training or transformation environments.
