We are supporting a family in the search for a dynamic, grounded, and inspiring mentor/role model to work closely with their 15-year-old son. The family is based in Notting Hill, with regular international travel, and is open to flexible arrangements for the right person.
B15 is currently at boarding school (Winchester College), but due to a number of challenges - including difficulties with friendships, and general risk-taking behaviour - the family are reviewing his educational setting. He is currently undergoing neurological testing and may move to a more tailored 1-to-1 academic setting (e.g., Lionheart).
This role would suit someone exceptional - sporty, cool, organised, calm, and quietly confident, who can offer consistent presence, practical support, and life guidance. B15 doesn’t have a male role model and responds well to someone he can respect and look up to. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, active, and able to balance structure with fun, while setting and holding clear boundaries.
Responsibilities:- Act as a positive male presence and mentor to Fergus
- Guide him through daily life, education, and decision-making
- Encourage healthy routines: sports, fitness, hobbies, social activities
- Coordinate his schedule and support diary & academic organisation
- Support with tutoring coordination and liaise with specialists/teachers
- Travel internationally with the family during holidays or school transitions
- Be available as a point of contact in case of emotional or behavioural needs
- Work closely with mum to ensure consistent approach and boundaries
- Someone with a strong presence and natural authority
- Stylish, grounded and fit - someone B15 can relate to and admire
- Mentoring, teaching, coaching or youth work experience ideal
- Cool but consistent - firm with boundaries but fun to be around
- Organised, proactive and tech-savvy (for scheduling, school coordination etc.)

Term-time hours are mainly after school and flexible. Out-of-hours support will be required. Significant international travel during school holidays.
