Us
Powered by youth. Made with creativity. League Leaders is the UK’s only youth-led, Sport x Creativity platform and community – made of a Charity, Creative Agency and Brand.
Our vision is for every young person to have the right to change their future with sport. Working with the sport sector to make this change together.
We help young people play sport, redesign it, work in sport, influence change + grow as leaders in their lives.
What we’re looking for overall
Passionate about helping young people access sport, employment and life opportunities?
Have a talent for building and delivering sport and employment programmes, end-to-end, with the ability to be creative and go on to produce your ideas?
If so, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for a progressive and motivated Freelance Senior Programme Manager & Producer to join our Charity team. You will be a core part of the Charity, responsible for:
- Being the key individual behind the operations of our charity programmes, building on what we’ve already achieved, to plan, produce and deliver each one, end-to-end.
- Working across both our physical activity programmes – Football, Running, Basketball – and our employment programmes: Tip Off (training sessions) and THE DRAFT (event + pre / during / post support of both Employers and Young Talent)
- Making sure our programmes meet charity goals, timelines and budgets.
- Managing and delivering programme logistics, end-to-end: Allocating budget, organising staff and sourcing volunteers, venue hire, printing and materials, food and drink, online and in-person session planning and timings, risk assessment.
- An immediate ability to immerse yourself into our workstreams and active programmes, recommending what can be improved, and what we should be doing more of, making our programmes even more impactful for young people.
- Supporting the building of relationships with programme funders and partners, alongside our CEO.
- Supporting monitoring and evaluation of our participants, alongside our Community Manager.
- Having core software and programme management skills including Monday.com and Google Suite.
You
As a team we are committed and culturally guided to always consider young people’s needs – so you’ll also be part of representing and building our team and organisation culture.
We look for people who:
- Are a good listener and show empathy towards others
- Have outstanding communication skills
- Are humble and team focused
- Have self motivation
- Have a growth mindset
- Hold themselves to account for high quality organisation, work and processes
A bonus if you:
- Have lived experience of our cause
- Understand and are in touch with youth culture
Other things
Whilst this role is initially for 1-2 days a week at our work space in London, at least 1x day in-person working, with the right person, we would be looking to extend and increase the role commitment after, or before, the initial 6‑month period. We hope that’s you! Please tell us whether you can work 1 or 2 days per week.
You’ll have the opportunity to be part of an innovative Charity that’s continuing to grow and make change. You’ll be given trust, autonomy and support from the rest of the team. Opportunities to directly meet and work alongside young people, team bonding activities and events.
Hours
Full days, ideally either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
