We’re hiring a Development Document Controller to ensure project information, documentation and data are rigorously organised, accurate and accessible across the business. Based in our Reading office, you’ll collaborate with external consultants, developer partners and senior stakeholders to uphold compliance and keep communication flowing, while also providing general administrative support to the team and the projects we deliver. The ideal candidate has proven document control experience, exceptional attention to detail and a solutions‑focused mindset, with the confidence to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑moving environment.
In this role, you’ll:
- Manage, organise, check and maintain project documentation across internal systems (Unit certification, project data, drawings, O&M Manuals etc.)
- Liaise with external consultants and developers to ensure all information is up to date.
- Ensure version control and document accuracy at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Support teams with data entry, reporting, and digital file management.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of document control processes.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely information flow.
- Provide general administrative and IT-related support where required.
- Liaise closely with the Development Managers to ensure that all systems, data and processes are up to date as well as the procurement of the direct supply items.
- Assist the Property Management and Lettings teams where required.
- Support the preparation of development reporting and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Carry out ad hoc projects to aid the achievement of the Company’s objectives.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent and demonstratable document management skills
- Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
- Experience working and building relationships with external suppliers/third parties.
- Knowledge of real estate development and construction processes.
- A dynamic and driven personality, with a strong zeal for the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, confidently taking charge, making informed decisions, and initiating actions.
- Proficient in presenting and interpreting information accurately and professionally.
- A collaborative team player who can inspire and motivate colleagues, effectively achieving goals collaboratively.
- Innovative problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying issues and crafting effective resolutions.
- A strict adherence to confidentiality regarding all forms of information and data.
