What we’re looking for: Are you passionate about people, drinks and food? If the answer is yes, then this is the role for you! We are seeking a bubbly and friendly candidate who likes to be in a customer-facing position. You will ideally have worked within a hospitality setting previously and be familiar with the inner workings of a restaurant, however, this is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential though is a passion for hospitality! You will be hard-working, able to work alongside others as part of a team, and able to speak confidently to customers. You will also be willing to work a range of shifts, including daytime, evenings and weekends.
Day in the life of: You will be working within the hotel's Restaurant alongside a passionate team who are eager to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. You will work a range of shifts including daytime, evenings and weekends. You'll be working in a front-of-house position meeting and greeting guests and providing great table service. You'll be a great team player working closely with your kitchen and bar colleagues to ensure a smooth service.
Example key duties:
- Preparing the bar for the day and night ahead including setting up, prepping, stocking and cleaning.
- Meeting and greeting guests. Making recommendations and engaging in conversation.
- Taking food and drink orders and processing them through a till. Cash and card transactions.
- Providing table service.
- Sales driven, keen to up-sell and cross-sell.
- Coaching and supporting new team members.
- Supporting other hotel colleagues and helping out in other areas of the hotel when it's needed.
