Bar Team member- Mixologist & Host in Lincoln

What we’re looking for: Are you passionate about people, drinks and food? If the answer is yes, then this is the role for you! We are seeking a bubbly and friendly candidate who likes to be in a customer‑facing position. You will ideally have worked within a hospitality setting previously and be familiar with the inner workings of a cocktail bar, however, this is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential though is a passion for hospitality! You will be hard‑working, able to work alongside others as part of a team, and able to speak confidently to customers. You will also be willing to work a range of shifts, including daytime, evenings and weekends.

Day in the life of: You will be working within the hotel's bar team alongside passionate Mixologists whose goal is to ensure our guests have a fantastic time. You’ll be serving guests from the bar and making a range of drinks including creative cocktails. Our team take a hand in the creation and design of our cocktail menus and if you come up with an exceptional taste then we’ll feature your cocktail on our menu! In addition, you’ll also be serving other drinks such as spirits, beer, wine and bubbly. You will also provide table service when occupancy levels allow it. We are seeking Mixologists who are keen to up‑sell and cross‑sell and are motivated to drive sales (which in turn increases your tips!!).

Example key responsibilities:

• Preparing the bar for the day and night ahead including setting up, prepping, stocking and cleaning.
• Meeting and greeting guests.
• Making recommendations and engaging in conversation.
• Taking food and drink orders and processing them through a till.
• Cash and card transactions.
• Providing table service where possible.
• Sales driven, keen to up‑sell and cross‑sell.
• Making drinks in line with specifications.
• Coaching and supporting new team members.
• Supporting other hotel colleagues and helping out in other areas of the hotel when it’s needed.
