As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide tailored compassionate care primarily in the homes of individuals and support them to live independently and with dignity within their communities. You may be required to work a short (4–8 hour) or longer shifts. Shift patterns vary depending on the care package and support needs of each person we support.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to individuals’ homes and within their communities.
  • Support individuals in maintaining or developing new skills and personal interests.
  • Adapt care and support plans to meet the diverse needs of each individual, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Engage in proactive communication with families and care teams to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Support individuals in temporary residential placements or their own homes.
  • Perform household chores such as laundry, cleaning and food shopping.
  • Manage and support individuals with budgeting and financial management.
  • Assist with all aspects of personal care, including hygiene, dressing and feeding.
  • Plan, participate in and budget for community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and clear communication with the brand team and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferred NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 2 acceptable).
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in similar healthcare settings and experience in support with complex needs, behaviours that challenge and autism.
  • Business Car Insurance would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license would be advantageous.
