We\’re looking for an experienced FP&A Team Lead to build, scale, and strategically lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function at Leadtech. This role requires a senior finance leader with strong business acumen, advanced analytical expertise, and a proven track record of managing and developing high‑performing teams.
As a PF&A leader, this person will operate with high autonomy, taking ownership of a complex function, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring cross‑departmental alignment with organizational objectives. They will guide their team through complex challenges, lead financial innovation, and serve as a key partner to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic FP&A Leadership
- Own and lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long‑range planning, and strategic financial cycles
- Deliver deep financial insights to influence key business decisions, investment strategies, and performance optimization
- Ensure alignment between FP&A priorities and company goals, anticipating risks and identifying opportunities proactively
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead small to medium teams, setting clear performance objectives, strategic priorities, and areas of accountability
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth
- Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and hiring decisions with a long‑term strategic mindset
- Promote idea‑sharing, cross‑team collaboration, and a culture of ownership and innovation
Operational & Organizational Accountability
- Take ownership of a complex area or platform, ensuring operational excellence and delivering expected business outcomes
- Act proactively to address organizational, team, or workflow challenges, proposing long‑term solutions
- Manage complex projects and high‑impact initiatives with minimal supervision, escalating only for specific strategic decisions
Advanced Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Build and review sophisticated financial models to support scenario analysis, valuation exercises, M&A activities, fundraising or strategic planning
- Provide financial guidance for new product initiatives, partnerships, or business model changes
Reporting & Executive Insights
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial packages for senior leadership and board stakeholders
- Translate complex financial information into clear insights for both financial and non‑financial leaders
Process Improvement & System Optimization
- Lead initiatives to improve FP&A processes, reporting accuracy, and automation
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to enhance data integrity and financial transparency
Strategic & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, benchmarks, and competitor performance to inform strategic direction
- Calibrate the impact of external changes, proposing strategic responses aligned with long‑term business goals
Requirements
Experience & Background
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in Finance, including leading teams, ideally in high‑growth or complex environments
- Strong background in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or tech‑driven businesses
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex analysis, strategic transformation, and cross‑functional initiatives
- Proven ability to lead small teams, assigning responsibilities to maximize individual and team potential
- Skilled at setting strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Exceptional collaborator, capable of aligning strategies and goals across multiple departments
- Expert in advanced financial modeling (P&L, Cash Flow, scenario analysis)
- Proficiency in financial systems; experience with Qlik and SAP is a strong advantage
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable navigating complex datasets
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Strategic thinker with a solution‑oriented, proactive mindset
- Comfortable operating with high levels of autonomy and accountability
- Fluency in Spanish and English
