Our client is a well-established BMS engineering company based in London, United Kingdom, currently looking to recruit an experienced BMS (Building Management System) Project Engineer. This role is fully UK-based and the client is open to candidates currently located in Hong Kong who are willing and able to relocate to London. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers seeking to secure a UK-based role prior to relocation.
Who is the Client
The client is a medium-sized engineering company specialising in BMS projects across London and the surrounding areas, working on a wide range of large-scale commercial environments including data centres, hospitals, universities and pharmaceutical facilities. They work across multiple BMS platforms including Trend, Tridium, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo and Distech. The client has prior experience onboarding engineers relocating to the UK and understands the associated processes.

Your Role
As a Special Works Engineer, you will work both independently and as part of a team, tackling projects that contribute to making buildings better and more intelligent. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with new technologies, refine engineering strategies, and contribute to the department’s growth.
Training and Development
The client will provide training on new and exciting BMS and smart tech products. The applicant will have room for growth within the department as they develop their engineering, design and management skills. For engineers who have only had commissioning-based experience, the client has said that they are willing to provide training on the design of BMS systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing project documentation, including points lists and descriptions of operations.
- Experience in BMS system design, graphic generation, software configuration, panel design, installation and commissioning.
- Carrying out off-site panel inspections, software testing, and factory acceptance tests.
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning BMS control panels and third-party equipment on-site.
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure project delivery meets technical and quality standards.
- Providing technical support to junior engineers and contributing to team development.
- Maintaining accurate site records, timesheets, and documentation.
What they are looking for?
- 3–5+ years’ experience within the BMS industry
- Strong commissioning experience
- Exposure to one or more of the following systems: Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens or Distech
- Must already hold, or be eligible for, full UK right to work (e.g. BNO visa)
- Driving licence transferable to a UK licence
- Fluent written and spoken English
